Frequently asked questions
How is my exact age calculated?
Your age is counted in whole calendar years, then whole months, then the remaining days, the same way you count birthdays. Totals such as weeks, days and hours are based on the number of calendar days between your birth date and the selected date.
What if I was born on February 29?
In years without a February 29, the calculator counts your birthday on February 28, so you still gain a year every year. Your actual leap-day birthday comes around every four years.
Can I calculate my age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the Age on date to any date after your birth date to see how old you were, or will be, on that day.
How does the days between dates calculator count days?
It counts the days from the start date up to the end date. Turn on Include end date to count both the first and the last day. Business days count Monday to Friday and do not skip public holidays.
How is my Chinese zodiac sign worked out?
The Chinese zodiac year starts on Lunar New Year, which falls between late January and mid-February. If your birthday is before Lunar New Year in your birth year, you get the animal of the previous year.
Is my birth date stored or shared?
Your birth date never leaves your browser. If Remember my birthday is on, it is saved only in this browser's local storage. Turn the switch off to delete it.
