About Whisser Image Color Picker
Whisser Image Color Picker pulls the main colors out of a photo, screenshot or design so you can reuse them in websites, slides and artwork. It analyzes the image in your browser and shows every color as HEX, RGB and HSL. The tool is free, needs no account, and your image is not uploaded to a server.
How to use
- Click Upload Image, drop an image on the page, or paste one from your clipboard.
- Review the palette of dominant colors that appears automatically.
- Click a swatch to select it and copy its HEX code, or click the HEX, RGB or HSL row to copy that format.
- Turn on Pixel picker and tap the image to grab the exact color of any pixel. Zoom in up to 300% for precision.
- Use Copy palette or Download to save every color at once.
Frequently asked questions
How many colors does the palette include?
The palette shows up to 8 dominant colors. Very similar shades are skipped so the colors stay clearly different from each other.
Can I pick the color of one exact pixel?
Yes. Turn on Pixel picker, then click or tap anywhere on the image. The color of that pixel is selected and its HEX code is copied to your clipboard.
Which color formats can I copy?
Every color is available as HEX, RGB and HSL. Copy palette copies all HEX codes at once, and Download saves a text file that lists each color in all three formats.
Which image files are supported?
Common image files such as JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF work, up to 30 MB. Mostly transparent pixels are ignored when the palette is built.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is decoded and analyzed by JavaScript in your browser, so it stays on your device.
Is the color picker free?
Yes. It is free to use and does not require an account.
