About Whisser QR Code Generator
Whisser QR Code Generator creates free, static QR codes for website links, plain text, phone numbers and email addresses. You can style each code with 17 color themes, seven dot shapes, three eye shapes, custom colors, an optional gradient and a center logo. The QR code image is drawn in your browser and saved as a PNG.
How to use
- Enter a link or text in the Content field.
- Pick a theme, or open Advanced to change shapes, colors, gradient and logo.
- Select Generate QR Code.
- Scan-test the preview, then select Save PNG or Copy.
Frequently asked questions
Is the QR code generator free?
Yes. Creating and downloading QR codes is free and does not require an account.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. Your content is encoded directly into a static QR code, so it does not expire and does not redirect through Whisser.
Can I add a logo to my QR code?
Yes. Open Advanced and choose a PNG, JPG or GIF image. The logo is placed in the center, and codes use high error correction so they can still be read. Always scan-test the result before sharing it.
What file format can I download?
The QR code is saved as a PNG image. In browsers that support it, you can also copy the image to your clipboard.
Is my content sent to Whisser?
The QR code is drawn in your browser. Before generating, the page requests a short-lived authorization token from Whisser, and the content you type is not included in that request.
Can I share a link that pre-fills the generator?
Yes. Add ?data= with your URL-encoded content, an optional &theme= such as matcha, and &autogenerate=1 to create the code as soon as the page opens.
