Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel spinner truly random?
Yes. Each spin picks the winning entry with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every slice has an equal chance. The animation is then steered to land on that entry.
How many entries can I add?
Up to 1,000 entries, one per line. When there are too many to label, the names are hidden on the wheel, but every entry still has its own slice and an equal chance to win.
Can I give an entry a higher chance?
Yes. Add the same entry on more than one line. Each line gets its own slice, so an entry listed twice is twice as likely to win.
Can I remove the winner after a spin?
Yes. Choose Remove winner in the result window to take that entry off the wheel. This is handy for raffles, giveaways and picking people one at a time without repeats.
Are my entries saved?
Your entries, winners history and sound setting are kept in this browser's local storage, so they are still there next time you visit. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
Is Spin the Wheel free?
Yes. It is free to use and does not require an account.
