Whisser Image Toolkit guide
Whisser Image Toolkit is a free online editor for four everyday image jobs: resizing, compressing, cropping and converting JPG, PNG and WEBP files. Everything runs in your web browser on an HTML canvas, so your images are not uploaded to Whisser, and each export is redrawn without the original file's metadata.
How to use
- Pick a tool: Resize, Compress, Crop or Convert.
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WEBP image from your device, drop it on the upload area, or load it from an image link.
- Adjust the settings, such as the new size, quality, crop frame and ratio, or output format.
- Select the download button to save the edited image.
Frequently asked questions
Is Whisser Image Toolkit free?
Yes. It is free to use and does not require an account.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are opened and processed in your browser, and the edited file is created on your device. If you load an image from a link, your browser downloads it directly from that website.
Which image formats are supported?
You can open JPG, PNG and WEBP images and export them as JPG, PNG or WEBP. When an image with transparency is saved as JPG, the transparent areas are filled with white.
How large can a resized image be?
Width and height can each be set from 1 to 12,000 pixels. You can lock the aspect ratio or use the scale slider from 10% to 200%.
How does image compression work?
JPG and WEBP images are re-encoded at a quality you choose between 35% and 95%. PNG files are saved losslessly, so the quality setting does not apply to them.
Does the toolkit remove EXIF metadata?
Yes. Every export is redrawn on a canvas, so metadata from the original file, such as EXIF camera details and location data, is not copied into the downloaded image.
